It’s just that we get lost in our fear of what’s different.”Jenna Bush Hager shared that after their recent interview, her father said he planned to bring a “crate of Altoids” to the opening of the Barack Obama Presidential Center in the summer. Bush Hager has interviewed her father, as well as former President Clinton, former President Obama and former President Biden for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. During the segment, each of the politicians shared their thoughts on democracy.Concluding his portion of the program, Bush urged viewers to be hopeful about the United States’ future.“I would hope people would take a look at our history and realize we’re an imperfect nation trying to be more perfect, but be optimistic about the future of the country,” he said.
