Through the first 20-ish games of the season, Bleacher Report awarded them with a grade of an "F".AdvertisementLooking over their record of 8-12, they sit at the bottom of a highy-contested National League West. They are already 7.5 games back of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who look they are on a one-way trip to their World Series three-peat.The Giants have had a hard time finding sustainable pitching, as their rotation has been beat up. Logan Webb, Tyler Mahle, and Adrian Houser have not been able to find solid footing with ERA's exploding over 5.00.Landen Roupp has been a nice surprise, with a 2.38 ERA and 3-1 record to start the season. He could be a nice trade piece at the midway point of the season, as the Giants are likely not going to be able to compete in this division for another year or two. From the plate, shortstop Willy Adames has been the representative of the power. He has 10 doubles already, which is tied for the league-lead with Baltimore Orioles left fielder Tyler Ward. Adames also has three home runs, which is 1/4 of the team's home run total.AdvertisementThis "F" grade is a perfect one, as the Giants are simply not living up to their standard. This season could have been something more and different for them, but instead, it seems like they are going to fall right back into the same position they have been over the last four seasons.More MLB News:
