Police are responding to an active shooter situation at the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, Governor Jeff Landry announced on Thursday afternoon.“I am in coordination with law enforcement and we will update as we know more,” Landry wrote on X. “Please avoid the area.”The Baton Rouge Police Department said two people are in critical condition and several others were injured, WAFB reported. The shooting is believed to have taken place near the mall’s food court.Paramedics have arrived at the scene and are establishing a triage center near JCPenney, the outlet reported.
