There's a Strategic Case for Tariffs

When the Supreme Court dealt President Trump's tariff strategy a blow in late February, he was undeterred. Now he is back at his old ways, imposing new duties on the importation of brand-name pharmaceuticals and certain metals. Those who wish that he would abandon his tariff agenda are understandably upset. At first glance, they appear to have the stronger argument. But there's a rationale for tariffs as well.
