A wife has been arrested nearly a quarter of a century after her husband was found dead by a lake in Texas. Lisa Honrud, a 55-year-old woman from Waxahachie, Texas, was arrested Monday morning in connection with the 2002 murder of her husband Frank Weiss, the Frisco Police Department announced in a press release.Authorities were able to crack the 24-year-old cold case through “advancements in investigative techniques, modern technology, and new information from a key witness,” the release said. Frisco detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Honrud, and with the help of the Waxahachie Police Department, the agency took her in custody shortly before 8 a.m. local time Monday.
