Woman killed after argument over onion rings at St Louis Steak ‘n Shake drive-thru

A woman has been killed after an argument over onion rings at a Steak ‘n Shake drive-thru in St. Louis, Missouri. The St. Louis County Police Department said Chauncia Meekins, 32, was fatally shot while she was working at the drive-thru late Wednesday night. Meekins and another employee had an argument with customers inside a car that pulled up to the drive-thru, police said. During the dispute, someone in the car shot through the drive-thru window and hit Meekins and her male co-worker, according to the cops. Tamela Washington, Meekins’ mother, said the argument was over onion rings, telling local outlet KMOV, “It’s never that serious to take a person’s life over some fast food.”A woman has been killed after an argument over onion rings at a Steak ‘n Shake drive-thru in St. Louis, Missouri (Google Earth)Meekins was declared dead at the restaurant, and her co-worker was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. You didn't have to shoot her or the other employee. I wish they'd find the person who did this and bring justice to my family. I want my baby back,” Washington said. Meekins was to turn 33 years old in less than two weeks. “Her birthday is April 23 of this month. Instead of celebrating her birthday, I will be burying my daughter for some senseless act over some onion rings,” Washington told KMOV. Her mother described her as “loving, caring, friendly,” adding, “She would give you the shirt off her back if she had it.”
